Maybe US/UA was more tolerable, with US in bankruptcy, and UA "on the brink." And/or prehaps approving one is palatable, but two is not.
That Daschle connection sure is interesting. That whole d*** political machine is all linked, on both sides of the aisle. Daschle probably arranged for the delay, so he couldn't be hit with it as a (family) campaign issue!
