I actually had to call the 214- RR CS number on this. If your current companion pass expires 8/31/05 (like mine and cabinpressure), the next one is valid until 9/30/06, not 10/31/06. That's because the renewal becomes effective 9/1/05 and goes thru 9/30/06.
That's 13 months... count it.
Hmmm, I thought that didn't seem right that he could have 2 valid CPs at the same time. However I thought that when they issue the CP that it is immediately valid, I didn't know that they could issue it on 8/1/05 and not have it actually be valid until 9/1/05. Yes, I agree it is completely confusing. I had to call a couple times when my first companion pass renewed in order to figure out exactly what the rules were and when it would be valid from/until.
