I've just noticed that the Raffles in the 772ER is 2-2-2 layout which would seem to be very spacious to me. Given that the 777 cabin is almost as wide as the 747 (only a few inches difference), can anyone explain why SQ have gone for this configuration, rather than the 2-3-2 as they have in the 747?
Not complaining, of course, but just interested as most other airlines (e.g. BA, UA) have the same config in business in both the 777 and 747.
