Having stayed here last night, I have to concur with a lot of what has been said here. The staff is very friendly and overall, the stay was good. I had a room facing the bay, though it was on the side of the hotel closest to 101 and the Caltrain tracks. There was, as a result, a bit of bleed-through freeway noise, but it was relatively minor.

That said, though, if you stay on a weekend, be warned about the breakfast mob. The room for breakfast is very small, and was overfull when I tried to go down for breakfast this morning (at about 9:00 or so). The number of families with small children made it difficult to move around, let alone actually get food to take it back to the room.

(And yes, I've stayed at Homewood Suites before, so I've seen the free breakfast crush before. However, I don't think I've ever seen it at this level.)

Nonetheless, I'd stay here again. Perhaps, though, not during the summer.
