I FINALLY after years - actually qualifed and am now a lowly Premier. I'm actually well on my way to making PremEx and was almost excited for it. Premier is generally useless except for the status bonus, check-in and of course E+ at time of reservation!

Now United gone and done it again! Let's dilute one of the few tangible benefits for Premiers left - by opening up E+ to all for a couple hundred bucks (and of course lowering the bar for a couple hundred more!) they are ONCE again making things harder for their good customers in a grab for a little cash.

Listen I know they are in dire straits (and boy I better start spending down my 150k of miles) but doesn't anyone get it over there? High yield fliers (even this lowly one - since I often fly on Y's) are keeping you afloat.

Grrr. Loyolty programs are almost not worth paying attention to now - well unless you're talking about SPG :-)
