Bottom line is the 2 man flight crew were indecisive and not in agreement with what to do. One pilot wanted to abort the other wanted to continue, they argued and wrestled the controls ending in a crash, almost all survived.
Maybe someone here can recollect more about this incident.
If you're talking about Korean Air Lines, there are many accidents to choose from; however, this one sounds like the one you were referring to. There was a disagreement between the pilots of a KAL A300 landing in Cheju on 10 August 1994:
