Agree !! The mechanics in Europe are mostly from KLM or contracts not NW

I would expect that this issue may be a lot of posturing by NW. If they drop in 1,000 NEW mechanics the FAA is going to live at those places looking at certifications, supervision, trainning and maintenence records. It will be a lot of hassle for NW and any problems that develop due to maintenence could be expensive to settle. All they will need is for some workers to be found not qualified by thr FAA inspectors.
