The little green star always seems to come up, indicating I can use the cert. But when I try to book, it says its not good for this itinerary.
Aww welcome to the frustrations of using a e-cert on United.com. It clearly should work since all T&C are met, says it will work, and then doesn't. United.com and their IT technology are one big POS. The site doesn't need a makeover it needs a transplant.
