This is very distressing news. I wasn't sure where my sympathies lay with the mechanics as it did seem like some concessions needed to be made if they want a job. This proposal by NW seems more than just hard bargaining, but calculated to undermine employee morale. I would think a 23% pay cut would be enough to demand? Why compound the misery by cutting all "benefits" that might help make FA life a bit easier and their attitude toward their jobs, managment and passengers a bit better?

Again, this is the news that may convince me that NW has no future.
