I remember flying CO before the first Chapter 11 and watching the pilots run for the Pizza Hut because they were so hungry..... not a confidence builder.
Let's see, final approach, evening, sleet and ice 1/4 mile visability in a cross wind. Airport? Let's make it AZO (Kalamazoo: short runway hard turn on final [not the easiest approach to shoot in the winter or even during the day in bad weather] low blood sugar, hungry, and tired...a real receipe for safety, huh?. I guess the NWA execs will be flying another airline.
At what point do folks just say to hell with it?
