I've been shopping Newegg for years for tech stuff and they've always been good for prices, excellent customer service, and fast shipping. That said, it's been generally known as a "geek" store for the DIY computer guys.
My wife was flipping thru Hemispheres yesterday and they had a large ad featuring laptops, iPod like devices, PDA's, etc. Had two guys on a plane ... one bored and jealous as he looked at the other playing and listening to music with his PDA.
I just thought it was cool that they were appealing to UA travelers. They're a great shop and I'd highly recommend them.
I agree, and have used them for quite a while. I'm glad they are helping support United (by advertising with UA).
They are a very reputable company, IMO.
Just a friendly tip: Just like airline fares and car rental fees, some of the prices at NewEgg can change daily. If you are looking to buy something expensive and poplular (i.e flat screen monitor), but are not in a hurry, watch the prices for several days. They do change. The competition is tough! Also, do NOT trust the search engines (pricegrabber/nextag etc)when it comes to prices for NewEgg, Chief Value, etc. Go to each site to check the current price, and there could be a hundred dollar difference!!
