I spot-checked several of the fares with August 5-6 round trip dates (flying out today, returning tomorrow). The fares always came out the same. Now whether or not this is the same as a walk-up fare, I do not know. Luckily, I've never had to buy a walk-up fare (yet)!
I know it's not very scientific, but it does give some idea of (full fare) travel costs between major markets on AA.
