It was a sunrise in November 2003, at Pansea Bay. My (former) Thai girlfriend and I were in the water. It was so calm; a fishing trawler was a bit offshore. The water was wonderfully warm.

The previous posters have already described the Amanpuri in such fine detail. We stayed two nights at the Chedi, then splurged on three nights at the Amanpuri. I have never been back and don't know if I ever want to return.
