The New York Times, did you notice Continental's folded poster insert inside? As the official airline of the New York City Marathon (are they flying the winning runners roundtrip from Nairobi?), Continental inserted a folded poster for people to hold up to support the runners. The blank allows you to fill in the name of the person you are supporting. On the back is the 'Spectator Guide' including rules on how to be a good spectator (it made for a funny read) and a chart to help you plan when and where to stand at various locations this Sunday.
How much did CO pay for this? With all of those cutbacks and cries of imminent bankruptcy to Congress, CO certainly surprised me with their heavy spending on spectator posters and their placement in today's paper.
Anybody here going to use them on Sunday?
