I'm flying CO8 (NRT->EWR) today. Despite being on the waitlist for a 25k mile upgrade to BF, looks like it did not clear.

What I don't understand is that ITN shows 8 seats in the J bucket as being available.

Why isn't CO happy to take my 25k miles if they are not going to sell the seat? It's now 2.5 hrs to departure so I cannot imagine 8 walk-ups who want to pony-up $7000 for a ticket.

Anyone have any experience with this?
