I thought that I noticed some new expediated processing fees for onepass award tickets made less than 21 days (Starting in 03). There were a couple of different levels of charges ($75 is one that I seem to remember). Since I have made 3 award tix less than a week before flight left, I figure taking trip in 02 instead of 03 saved me over $200. Somehow I knew this benefit would go away, I always save some miles for unexpected trips that pop up at the last minute. Always thought it was a good strategy, benefits are slowly disappearing.
