I agree...if you or your friend have any intentions of keeping the miles...then you should not contact Delta. I guarentee you they will say Oops...let me correct it by taking the miles back. I really think you are being unrealistic if you think they will transfer the miles and/or even let you AND your friend keep the miles?!?!
