Actually the longitudinal centre of Canada is about 15 kilometres east of the eastern edge of Winnipeg. There is a pretty brown sign there to designate this fact.

By the way, I was in no way suggesting YYZ not be the hub. I think AC needs a hub in YYZ and any other airport would not make sense.
