Flew into ZRH last week, parked at stand on mid-field terminal. Took train to main terminal buildings. Walking into the terminal 2 building, you get redirected to terminal 1 for baggage reclaim, but carry on walking through to terminal 2 arrivals with no checked luggage.

This makes it somewhat tricky to organize pickups - the meeting party needs to know if you have bags or not, in order to know which terminal to wait outside.

Why does this happen for BA? Terminal 2 has it's own baggage handling, so this seems unnecessary confusion? Is this punishment for Swiss falling out of OW?
