I'm delighted to say I have not bought a single beef and gravy so far, although I did pick up some organic burgers when I was in a Tesco last week.

I'll have about 400,000 miles in my account when the current batch of Tesco points and the I-class promo miles hit, which reduces my motivation somewhat. But I'll be back once I've done my next redemption, I'm sure .

(I have, I'm proud to say, zero'd out my Starwood, Hyatt and Priority Club balances this year, so now have no balance of note in any hotel programme. This only leaves me with the airlines, WorldPoints and the Amex MR points I get on my corporate card! Life is getting a little easier.)
