Can't say that I blame him either - 6 bits of fruit and a grease ridden over cooked full Engish isn't my idea of gourmet dining either. Still, the muesli was O.K.
On a side note, he came though T1 secutiry at the same time as me and give lie to his media reputation - polite, charming, friendly and with 2 lovely, well behaved children.
I would imagine he would probably turn his nose up at most of the offerings in FIRST as well!
In my limited experience of flying in FIRST, nothing I have ever received has been greatly different to some of the hot main courses I have received in Club - there is just more of it as it is served on bigger plates.
Nothing in Club Europe pretends to be gourmet dining. It is just better than what is offered in EuroTraveller.
