My suggestion is for you guys to burn a few miles- especially if you can get seats at the current 20K domestic US online booking level!

The transfer to UA is a good idea if there are no seats to your destination on a given date- UA tends to have much better availability, in my opinion. Of course, don't transfer too many miles or else you might be sorry when UA plows into the ground
