I used to be an AA Gold and then started flying a lot on UA. Well this year I haven't flown as much on anyone. Interested in doing one of AA's challenges. Here's my planned travel. Will these trips get me to the promised land of gold or, better yet, platinum?

mid-October DSM-ORD-BRU, BRU-ORD-DSM (el cheapo ticket)
late December DSM-ORD-OGG HNL-DFW-DSM (YUP fare)
