Over a year ago I asked the CO FT-ers to list their HoKeY fares, their u/g success and the observed B/F cabin loading etc. Only a few did on this site publicly, but I have been doing the numbers for about 6 others who responded privately. We have found some very interesting facts and actually a few holes in the system and almost all of us have saved some real $$$ as a result of it. I could write a detailed book on HoKeY.

For SFO, do a shuttle to LAX and book a CO/Virgin RT from there. You will save a bundle. Thatsa lot of European trips. Good luck.

If you are implying that there is good E, EG and R avails on the LAX LHR VS hardblock, I agree. And SFO, too. I have consistently posted on this board that persons seeking E, EG or R class seats should alert CO phone agents to check avails ex SFO or LAX or other Virgin gateways where CO shares the plane (eg. AUS IAH SFO LHR, etc.).

If you are implying that LAX has less expensive pricing that SFO, this has been true at times in the past to the degree that a shuttle ticket would be a good option. But as Channa points out, as of today that is not the case.
