eyecue,

Why would I ever wish screening to be bad?

No, I don't videotape or record what I see and here at checkpoints. There is no way for me to document what I see or here--you know that. I'ts always going to be anecdotal.

At Atlanta Terminal E (intl arrivals) in May of this year... Two agents screaming in my ear--and at the ears of other passengers--"Laptops out of bags! ALL shoes must come off!" The xray operator turned to the other and said, "F**k this s**t!"

I can't write a report--that does nothing, we all know that. What would the screener say? "I wasn't yelling, I wasn't swearing." And the supervisor would defend the screener, of course.

It varies tremendously from airport to airport. Some places are totally polite, JFK and ORD for example. Others are outrageously inappropriate.

In the past, when I've seen or heard inappropriate behavior at checkpoints, screeners here just say "It never happened." I don't want to make those TSA screeners here feel defensive, but I do hope you realize that not all of your coworkers take pride in their work, operate with integrity, or treat passengers in a manner befitting their job.
