I think it will be. I have looked at a one way W to the east coast and the purchasing a one way J back from the east coast. One way W is very, very expensive, you could end up with zero refund.
However, I'm not sure of the reason. I normally pay around £1300 to the east coast in W, but have priced a one way to USA in the region of £1700 !
