As was said before, with the current livery the name of the airline is written in smaller letters under "Star Alliance" toward the front of the plane. But I remember seeing the previous liveries. There were the "dancing logos" of each airline in *A that "danced" along the top of the fuselage, the one closest to the cockpit was that of the aircraft. Similarly with the "banded" livery with each airline represented with its paint job on a portion (band) of the aircraft the band closest to the front was that of the aircraft. The "dancing logos" really through me off the first time I saw them. It was an All Nippon a/c at IAD. Had it not been for the little Japanese flag at the front of the aircraft I never would have figured it out.
