So yesterday I am having dinner with a couple of friends (staying at diffrent hotel) and one calls to se he is running late. So my buddy and I go up to the Exec lounge for a drink while we wait. the waiter asks us what we want we both order scotch and he goes away. He comes back and with the drinks and askes me my room number. I tell him. then 2 mins later he comes back and askes my friend for his room number. I tell the waiter that my friend is my guest and he says ok and goes away.

so as we leave, the woman at the consierge desk grabs me and hands me a bill for my friends drink. I didn't argue (i'm just not that guy). but what is the deal? you can't bring a guest to the exec lounge? shouldn't they have made that clear upfront? does this policy varry from property to property?
