Hi,

I think you will certainly have to clear US immigration at both BOS and YUL ( pre clearing for Canadian flights to the US so that when you arrive at JFK you can just collect your bags and go).
I think you will probably have topass through canadian immigration at YUL before prgressing to US immigration.
