Yesterday in downtown Mumbai I offered the shopkeeper/owner of a particularly friendly dog a bit of colored paper, suggesting he buy the dog a treat (he was prosperous enough himself). He mistook my offering as a bid to buy the animal and wondered how I'd get it home. Do you suppose Cathay will let me bring it on board?
