AC.com - connecting flights - I always see the sum of fares of the individual flights
On aircanada. com - if one wants to go from A to B via C - (eg YOW to YYZ and then YYZ to YVR), and if one clicks on a one-way or round trip option, the web site will display some flights that are direct and nonstop between these 2 cities (eg YOW to YVR via a direct nonstop flight), and others itineraries with a combination 2 flights - in either case, the fares for the single or 2 connecting flights are often the same.
Whenever I click on multicity flights, and design an itinerary with connecting flights (ie less than 4 hrs for North American connections), the web site always adds the fares of the indivual segments, rather than providing a combined fare, which would be lower than the sum of the fares of the individual segments. Does anyone know how can get the web site to give such a combined fare?
