taupo has made a great point - NZ does often let itself down when things go wrong. North American airlines, for all their many flaws, are at least pretty good at looking after rebookings when connections go wrong etc.
As for my vote: a bit of variety for short haul Y class wines. It doesn't even have to be boutique - how about some Villa Maria, for example? If it wasn't for the '04 Montana sav blanc being so much better than previous vintages, I'd even consider going teetotal, out of pure boredeom!
