There is no " money saving " involved. If you say it's hot... we turn the temp down, if you say it's cold... we turn it up. Don't bother with a conspiracy theory, there ain't one .
BTW as crew we are standing , therefore higher than you, hot air rises, we are running around like idiots , so we often feel hotter than the pax. As I grew up in Yorkshire in a house with no central heating ( get the hankies out !) I never feel the cold. Sleep with nothing on summer or winter. Not such a pretty picture, believe me.
