I fly about 60 to 70 times a year. It is not unusual for me to have a bag show up a day late once or twice a year.

But in four segments flown with Swiss, I have had my luggage lost twice. And in both cases it took four days to get the bag. Also in both cases the service was rude, inconsiderate, nasty, evassive and a cause for me to never fly Swiss ever again.

On my most most recent trip, Boston Zurich Tel Aviv, my bag ended up in Barcelona. The baggage group said that's what happens when you forget to remove prior luggage tags. I responded that 1. the check in counter would have removed any prior tag before putting on a new one, and 2. I and my luggage both have never been in Barcelona before.

Instead of forwarding my bag directly to me, the bag was sent back to Zurich, which then promptly locked it up in a security area as a suspicious bag traveling without a passenger. (Swiss forgot to mark the bag) I could go on and on about the lies, false promises, imaginary phone numbers of customer service reps, denial of money for emergency items such as....underwear, and so on, but I'm done with them.

Obviously some of you speak highly of them, and they are still in business, but they will have to remain so without me.
