I once ordered an ""Indian" vegetarian on another airline just to see what it would be like(was expecting a dhal or something akin). When I checked in the agent was hemming and hawing and went and got the supervisor. The supervisor came back and said that I had been up-graded but that my meal would not be loaded .......got on-board and the purser came around and welcomed me and said that I would really enjoy my Indian meal. It was great, with dhal, poppadums, stuffed roti, a delicious cucumber salad, Indian style Chai etc. It remains one of my most memorable flights and also my last time on a L1011.
