The K fare was only about $580 at the time. It's now about double that. We're on a 767 on the outbound and a 777 on the return.
I hate the thought of sitting in coach on a jam-packed flight, but I also resent paying an extra $250 each way (I think that's what it is to/from IAH) after I tried to pay with miles.
It's just frustrating.
