I am going on a month long trip to China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand in October. I have award tickets on Cathay in F. I need tickets from HKG to Hanoi on October 12. I was told that you checked in for your flight, including luggage, on the ferry in Shenzhen and were delivered airside in HKG. I booked and paid for the hotel (Nan Hai) and ferry. Now, Cathay refuses to book the 9:00AMflight to Hanoi for me, because the ferry does not arrive until 8:15AM and I need two hours TO CHECK IN. Which story is correct? Also, on the Cathay website, it says you need to pick up tickets at the airport. I will NOT have time to pick up tickets at the gate, if I do the ferry/airport run. Earliest ferry leaves at 7:45AM. Suggestions???
