Normally I am waiting overnight for the UA flight in the morning or just got off the late arrival and waiting for a connection to KL. In both cases the "rule" is no problem, and I am glad the security is fairly tight.

It sounds like the OP is arriving in SIN for a couple of days and waiting until the morning to clear immegration. Is that correct?
