IAN-UK I was merely asking a question since your original post seems to imply the 500 baht as some form of a "tourist" tax which you should not be paying. As this is a discussion forum, I dont see any reason why I cannot post a question here though my question may not answer your query.
I dont fly as often as most posters here do; and on the few occasions when I had a layover in BKK, all the sectors were on TG and I assumed the BKK Airport Tax was included in the taxes/insurance/surcharge payment. I was not aware that transfer passengers are exempt from the tax in BKK.
