Yup, and thats really the bottom line. They can be replaced and I sure that it wont cost AS about 1/2 of what they pay the mechanics in salary and benefits. I hope that the union is honest with them and doesn't feed them mis-information like the ramp worker union.
If they aren't careful and make a good faith effort, I wouldn't be supprised to see all AS Maintenance outsourced and the union will deserve it.
There isn't going to be anymore outsourcing...these are line maintenance folks. Its better to have them inhouse.
