Having just flown BF (EWR-TXL) on a 757 - I can tell you that the feel of the flight was that of a domestic flight. During the flight - it crossed my mind that this could just as well been a domestic 757 - with 24 F seats - with standard EUA, etc. There was nothing special about the BF boarding process, we waited for the inbound domestic to be cleaned and catered, and the boarding was through the front door. The curtains were open the entire time, and the coach cabin just seemed to blend in. The galley is exposed right in front of you - so no privacy between the galley and the BF seating. With the galley for coach in the middle, it felt like the cabin was part of the galley - wedged between the BF and coach.
Anyway, when CO had 3 class of service, BC was the same seats and pitch as domestic first. They used the same brown leather seats (which BTW were more comfortable then the current blue leather domestic FC seats). The FC cabin had white cloth seats - with 60" pitch (versus current BF of 55"). While not motorized, the old F seats were very comfortable and elegant.
So a domestic F seat on international BC is the way it used to be. I think CO will have trouble competing for the full J fare with the 757 versus a larger established global airline with a large aircraft - 744, 340, 777, etc.
