After turning New York restaurants into a chic setting for "Sex and the City," Darren Star, creator of the hit HBO comedy, is taking a closer behind-the-scenes look at the posh eateries in "Kitchen Confidential."

The half-hour project based on Anthony Bourdain's book has landed at Fox Broadcasting Co. with a script commitment plus a six-figure penalty.
