I recall reading in a travel mag sometime ago that even access to the Burj upper bar required payment. Is this true? I'll be going through Dubai in a few months, and while I had planned to look at the Burj tower because I think its architecture is fabulous, its price is out of my league (and besides, the pix I've seen show interiors that did not appeal to me at all...not a fan of Las Vegas either). However, I'm guessing that a view from the upper floors must be spectacular and allow photo ops.

Can anyone give info on the cheapest way to get into the Burj ... cheapest drinks? Is there a cover charge?
