You have some constructive suggestions.

I will add:

The CO website should be revised to allow booking of mid-grade fares on line (such as V and B). It is nigh impossible now, as it is on Travelocity and Orbitz.

People should be able to "reserve" an open seat next to them in coach for a small fee. By "reserve" I mean that it will remain open until all of the non-reserved seats are sold. If it is really needed for a customer, it would be used.

I am against denying regular miles for low fares, but if CO absolutely has to do so they should still give elite miles for all regular tickets. Elite miles are more important to me than regular miles.

Make it easy for people to buy two tickets for the same flight to be sure the seat next to them is empty and give mileage credit for both tickets. And, advertise the option. There was some publicity about this re overweight people, but much confusion.

CO should bee particularly careful about actions that leave people with a "gotcha" feeling. People should know up front what the extra charges are and make a consious decision to use the extra service being provided. Many of the changes made recently or discussed leave people with a bad taste in their mouth with very little real benefit to the airline. For instance, I hear that airlines have started enforcing high fees if bags are over the size limit -- fees that are often as much as the ticket itself. An airline can only do this to a customer once, so it cannot be much of a long term revenue raiser. On the other hand, if they charged reasonable amounts, people would gladly plan for and pay the fee. Perhaps graduated fees would be appropriate -- $10 if you are less than 5 inches over, etc.

CO should try very hard not to break promises and to make any changes that have to be made reasonable.

We are not CO's problem. CO management should not treat us like criminals.
