I will be flying SFO-SIN-DEL on SQ. My connections in SIN include an 8 hour layover coming back, but i can make it a one day and 8 hour layover if i want. You can take a bus tour and be done with it and back to the airport in less than 8 hours. This of course depends on your arrival and departure times. If it were me, I would take the extra day and see Singapore at a more leisurely pace, and catch some of the night-life.
