I probably shouldn't post this but the statute of limitations is likely over. I was given a gift of reindeer meat when I was in Finland. Since it was a gift I didn't want to throw it out and smuggled it through customs. The beagles in customs (Seattle) walked right past my bag and didn't even sniff it.
I think they must be trained to sniff primarily fruit and drugs.
