Secondly Entropy, couldn't agree with you more I would much prefer 777 whatever version on LHR route and I agree they should be picking up some 744Adv for USA route, or as Apirchik suggest, move towards an Airbus option and stick a couple of A380's on the JFK/EWR/LAX route!! Think about it LY001/27 usually leaving within an hour of each other and even though one's to EWR and other is to JFK just combine the two with A380 and 'bob's your uncle!'

It definitely takes less than an hour to get from EWR/JFK @ 05:00, so it's definitely viable, with this option they could even fly to either airport on alternate days, Sun-JFK, Mon-EWR etc.
