LAX-SCL is 1400 miles longer than MIA-SCL and has better A service. Let's hope CCS is operating on the dates of your trip (it is a long sector though). IPC is a great destination but it was J only the last time I looked.

What are the implications of a DEL-ORD flight? How is it any different than a HKG-LAX flight? Or were they wanting to count that as an Atlantic ocean crossing? Now that would be interesting (eliminate Europe in one fell swoop, I suppose you could still reach Africa via SYD-JNB-HKG).
