I recently got the D70s (slightly upgraded version of the D70) and the kit lens (18-70). I find that it's rather bulky indeed and I have just resigned myself to carrying it as a "second item" or putting it inside a rollaboard.

markbach, what 70-300 did you get? Where did you get it? Would you recommend it?
