After some prodding from the Airport Authority and the newspaper, however, the new fares evidently were loaded on Friday. The new deal, according to the newspaper, is as follows:
- Walk-up fares reduced from $1,213.90 to $694 round-trip.
- 7-day advance purchase fares reduced from $778 to $578 round-trip.
If you have difficulty getting the correct fare, it appears that you may have to contact Sen. Nelson's office in either Washington or Omaha.
If anyone is planning to travel between Omaha and DFW, you may want to act fast, since the Senator's spokesman was a little unclear as to how long the arrangement would last.
New AA strategy to build support for Wright?
If all it takes is a phone call from your senator to get fares cut, lets get on the stick Sen. Don and Sen. Kay ! In fact, get them cut to what WN would charge, AA agrees to leave them there for 20 years and the WA could gain huge support. You would be heroes.....think of it....President K. B. Hutchinson.
What't that you say?....It wont work because it would cut into AA profits?....but I thought that side wanted WN at DFW because it would help the economy...make the skies safer...improve the quality of life around DAL....you mean..its about AA profits after all?
We're not in Kansas anymore Toto.
Well maybe we are in Kansas but we didn't get here on Southwest.
